Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and can form a binding contract.

You sign in using Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial expense-tracking purposes, subject to these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, abusive, or violates others' privacy.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service to harass, impersonate, or defraud other users.

You retain ownership of the content you add (groups, expenses, notes, and similar). You grant us a license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to add any information about other people, including participant names.

Tallio is a record-keeping and calculation tool to help groups track and split shared expenses. It is not a bank, payment processor, or provider of financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Tallio does not move money. Balances and settlement suggestions are for convenience only; you are solely responsible for verifying amounts and completing any real-world payments.

The Service integrates third-party services such as Google Sign-In. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will be free of defects.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tallio and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or money arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or USD 50.

You agree to indemnify and hold Tallio harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to first try to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting support@tallio.app. Nothing here limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the laws of your country of residence.

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and Tallio only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation, and any claims relating to the app are directed to Tallio, not Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list, and you will comply with applicable third-party terms (for example, your carrier's data plan).

If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and Tallio, not Google.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
